Thailand revealed draft Hazardous Substance Act to seek for public comments in May 2017. The draft act was developed for following purposes.
- To simplify customs procedure for chemicals passing through Thailand (chemicals not used in Thailand and sent to the third country)
- To exempt some procedures for chemicals used for education, testing, analysis or R&D
- To regulate advertisements on chemicals
The authority has requested stakeholders to send comments by 1 June.
